Accomplishments and Achievements
Sponsored a minimum of 58 annual intercity scholastic soccer games with New York, Baltimore, MD, Washington DC and New Jersey. Selected teams, obtained permission from EPYSA, financially funded cost of transportation, banquet dinners, miscellaneous expenses, provided officiating, uniforms and all equipment.
Conducted and funded soccer clinics throughout the city and suburban areas.
Secured and showed international soccer films throughout Eastern Pennsylvania to cultivate interest in the sport.
Obtained soccer fields for high profile amateur and professional games.
Securing sponsorship for 1st Philadelphia Soccer local TV exposure (1963) Philadelphia - Ukrainian games and Channel 17 ATOM Games- professional.
Provided financial support to teams entered into competition in and out of state.
Held social evenings to promulgate the sport and keep interest alive.
Provided soccer shoes, uniforms and soccer balls for start-up and financing of needed organizations.
Paid expenses of selected players to professional soccer camps/clinics.
Gave personal financial donations to Oldtimers in need.
College Day- show-case of talent. Selected boys/girls from all scholastic leagues. Invited 200 college/university coaches and local fans to see the best action.
Held annual soccer banquets to acknowledge Hall of Fame inductees and present various awards, i.e., Chick Fallon Award, Referee Award, Ralph Rosner Award, Rocco Montano Award, Female Coach Award, Male Coach Award, Youth- Female Player of Year, Youth- Male Player of Year and Ned Potts Award- Club of Year.
Parkwood Youth Organization- Home of the Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame.
Financially helped EPSA, USSFA Banquet in Philadelphia 1976, Bi-Centennial Game- USA vs England May 31 1976
Hosted Soccer Game- Glasgow Celtics vs Oldtimers select Team
